The Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators (ISTC) aims to establish and maintain professional codes of practice for people working in all branches of scientific and technical communication. It provides a forum for the exchange of views between members, and aims to further their expectations and interests.
The membership embodies a wide range of specialist knowledge of the principles and modern practices for effective communication of scientific and technical information. Through its publications and meetings, the Institute disseminates this experience to a growing profession and to those who use the services of its members.
Corporate Members must satisfy the Council that they have achieved a level of knowledge and experience in technical communication that is compatible with the Institute’s requirements.
